The past few months have been a journey. But we're excited to have welcomed students back into our Academy in person (face-to-face!) since July and we’re looking forward to seeing more of you from September.

Our doors are now open for all classes.  And, in case you're curious, here’s a few new things you can expect from us in this new world, so you can study safely knowing you’re in good (clean) hands.

How are you keeping students who come to class safe and well?
What’s important to you is important to us. That’s why we’ve upped the ante on our (already rigorous) health and safety measures to make sure that when you attend a class with us, you can be sure you’re well looked after.

We're sticking to the guidance for schools and colleges set by the Department for Education (DfE), and our Awarding Body (SFJ Awards).  We’re also using a lot of common sense and ensuring that no matter who visits us, whether it be at our Manchester Academy or at a London venue, everyone adheres to the Government’s advice.  Here’s what we’re doing:

On arrival at class
On arrival, we’ll take the temperature of every student.  We also have plenty of hand-sanitiser and hygiene products available throughout if you need them. Students are also asked to sign a disclaimer to confirm they’ve had no symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 7 days, and declare that if they do feel unwell, or have symptoms within 14 days of attending class, they’ll notify us immediately.

Throughout class
All students will be sat 1m apart, and we have ample space to ensure that during break times students can also remain 1m apart and spread out.

Hygiene products and high-touch, deep clean approach
We're keeping our beady eye on those high touch areas like lifts, switches and handles, and giving them a (very) regular spritz of disinfectant to keep them spic and span, and germ free.  In fact, visitors to our Manchester Academy, based in trendy Jactin House, already comment on how clean everywhere is.

Keeping in touch
Each staff member has been fully briefed on how to approach students that may be unwell or are self-isolating, and we remain in close daily contact with each staff member to ensure they remain in good health.

How are you ensuring social distancing?
To ensure the safety of all students and our staff, everyone is requested to practice social distancing during their time with us.

It is essential we work together to support these efforts at this time, and as such, anyone encouraging social gatherings will be asked to leave and reported to the authorities in line with UK Government guidelines.

What if I want further reassurance?
